Catagory Not Showing Up

I have created two catagories but one, "COMPANY PRODUCT PHOTOS" is not showing up. Permissions appear correct. Also, I can't delete a catagory called "COMPANY PRODUCT IMAGES". Can't find any specific info on my issue. Any help is appreciated.

You would need to actually post a link here. If you set viewing permissions for all groups to yes for the new category it would appear. Take note if your using the category cache maybe yours is not updating try turning off the cache in global options so you can see your changes.

Here's the link: http://www.cheyennehomefurnishings.c...ries/index.php

I'm not finding where to edit the users for viewing catagories. I want to limit particualr users to particular catagories.

Your site is restricted to viewing

You can set in Admin => Edit Categories the viewing upload posting permissions based on group down the bottom.

You can turn off the category cache at the bottom of Admin => Global Options.

Thanks for the support but still have same problem.

I've set the catagory permissions to what I need and have catagory cache off on global and still having same issues. Where do I delete the usergroups I have now and start over?

I think I don't know what I'm doing. I took out my usergroups but now my admin user and pass won't allow me to use the admin section.

Shall I give you the user and pass to see the site?

well if you messed up the usergroups you would most likely need to reinstall.

http://www.cheyennehomefurnishings.c...ries/index.php

what I am saying is no one can view your site because its locked down so its really hard for us to give you any advise. I can not even off any advise on usergroups until I see things see what type of integration this is etc.

I have the site locked down so only people that work here can see it. That's been working fine. I added another catagory that I now only want another group of people to see and I was going to have a user and pass on it also. Now, I have messed up my admin info and can't even acces the admin section to do anything and I didnt' install, we paid you guys to handle it. I can try to reinstall but I'm running out of time and would be much better if photopost could handle it. Advice on installation?

Well if you want us to install it you can purchase an install service.

I am just saying that since your site is locked and we cant see it then its hard to give advise

Example if this is a standalone install with no forum integrated with it the photopost usergroups tables should have these entries

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
I am only guessing here on what you need to do since I am not able to see the site but if you deleted your usergroups then you need to reinstall.

Now for example you want a group to see a category and not regular users you would need to create a new usergroup first after you make sure you have all the default ones. Set permissions for that group under edit usergroups then assign users to that usergroup. You then go to edit categories and create a category and assign say only admins and that special group viewing permissions. then only users in that one group and admins are going to view that group.

Thanks Chuck, I'll start fresh after the install. Hopefully I won't need to bother you today very much.
