Move all photos from one user gallery to another

Is there a way to move all of a users pictures into another users account?

For example, I switched from phpbb to VB about 6 months back and really screwed things up. (My fault completely NOT PP).

No I have a few member galliries that are out of whack, like my old one is now lists as Anonymous.

Is there a way to move those under my name?

Thanks again for the support,

-Jason

If you view the photos in phpmyadmin or similar do the userid still correspond to your userid in the forum or is that different as well?

I just posted in another thread a name change utility which will allow you to change the username on all comments and photos in another thread.

I can not view specific images on your forum without registering but I assume you mean the photos for user 2 which is listed as Anonymous.

You can bulkmove those images to some other category for sure using the admin bulkmove utility.

However if you are not user 2 then it is not a simple thing of changing the name displayed on the photo's to link them to you. The Photo's are stored with a user's usernumber in front of the filename.

Example you upload good.jpg and your user 2

The file is 2good.jpg 2good-thumb.jpg 2good-med.jpg etc

Okay I did some more investigating cause I know the username prefix on the photo use to make a difference.

However I did some testing on my install on changing Photo's from one user to another and it works fine.

I wrote up a simple script for you to try out.

Michael can correct me if I am wrong here but in looking at the scripts there are three things this script does.

It sets the Username in comments and photos to the newusers name and usernumber checking against the old ones.

I tested about 10 photos' and they worked fine. The Photo's were indeed changed to the new user and the profile link worked fine. I did not see any adverse reactions

However with any database changes always backup your database before doing any modifications to it.

Download this file I have attached photochange.txt and rename it to photochange.php and upload to your photopost directory.

Make sure you have the old and new usernames and corresponding usernumbers to those individuals

In your case

Anonymous is user 2

you are I am assuming

Hannibal which is user 3

Give it a try I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Now as I posted above moving the images is simply a bulk move thing that is performed in the admin area so after you get the usernames and numbers correct and they are again your images linking to your board profile move them where you wish.

No Problem glad to be of service let me know how everything goes. That is one huge gallery especially since the user you are talking about is over 25000 images.

Thats because I wrote that really to change the usernames as was your original request.

Revert those photo's back to the original user and try running this script first with the old userid and new userid

Then you can run the original script

This script should copy the old files to the new userid format.

I inadvertently uploaded about 60 photos to my gallery instead of an album I created. How can I bulk move those images, or delete them all and just re-upload them to the album, rather than deleting or moving one by one?

Thanks
