Have you followed the upgrade instructions in the documentations folder. The instructions there are pretty darn explicit.

The xml plugins are located in the install folder. If your logged in you can access your admin with the install directory present. You would follow those instructions and after generating the plugin you can delete the install directory. The warning about the install directory being present is only for the front end.

Yes, yes, BUT xml-generate is gone. Admin-panel not include xml-generate anymore.

It does not show because you have the plugin installed already in vb.

Go ahead and uninstall the vb plugin or just go directly to adm-plugin.php without seeing the link. I surpress the link for those who already the plugin installed. No need to confuse people.

Maybe you should put the instructions indicate a more precise?

... and indeed, since it was there for the previous version of the installation. Upgrade Instructions advise to remove the old installation, but not the detail reason.

The documentation for the new version states to remove your old plugins and redo them if you had done that then we would not be having this discussion. I am really not sure how more precise I can be there when I say remove your old vb4 plugins and redo the plugins. ???

Although by multiplying the update that xml-file creation at all possible before the removal of the old plugin. On the other hand the whole property could be removed, which means that XML tools are hidden.
That someone else fall into the same problem as me.

If you have a viable suggestion on wording let me know. All I am saying here is my upgrade announcements are pretty clear. It says remove the old plugins and generate new ones. The point I am making is it does not say generate the new plugins then remove the old ones which appears to be what your doing as the plugins where still installed when you where trying to generate new plugins which is why the link does not appear in admin.

Really this is not the first time in over a year that the plugins have to be generated and this is the first time I am having someone wonder whats going on. I am just pointing out you did not remove the old plugins which is why the link did not appear. This is not the first upgrade that this was in. It has been like that for almost a year or more basically since I released the original 8 series.
