| Post Comment Area Issue
After completing the upgrade to 8 and ingeration with VB4, I've ran into an issue with the Post Comment option.
With "Do you want to enable the vB3 or vB4 Enahnced features which use vB3 or vB4 controls in PhotoPost?" set to yes I get part of the comment area but the text box is missing. (see Sample2)
When I turn that option off I get the default PhotoPost comment area with text box. (see Sample1)
Any idea?

In your first example I would check to see what happens if you disable any hacks you have that might be installed for commenting or smilies etc.

Thanks but am running everything native on this installation. Other than the PhotoPost and Skimlinks, I'm not running any hacks.....
Weird too...the magnifying glass image next to the search box is also missing...but only in the Gallery.

The reason I am asking is I am running a default vbulletin 4 install and do not see any issues.
You can send me info to look at your site if you want.

What I think your issue was you where using the WYSIWYG editor and you did not set the switch to allow use of wysiwyg in the gallery.

Well I believe all I did was view your comment see you turned off all enhancements so it showed the normal photopost comment box. I then went to admin turned on the switches and viewed the wysiwyg box and it showed right so hey it works. |

Thanks again Chuck...
Hey man...while you still have access.....would you be so kind as to poke about and see if you can see what is causing the pesky search magnifying glass to dissapear only the Gallery? I can't figure it out!

well check in your custom style and make sure any link to any image there is a full url or maybe try setting the base url thing in vb admin panel to yes so that your forum url is always the base url for relative urls. |

Yes it was the relative url being used by your custom style for an image and the base url settings helps relative urls used by your custom style because it uses the forum url for any url without a base. |
