We just recently updated VB to 4.2.0 patch and wanted to update photopost as well, When we try to update following the Documation upgrade instructions to the T it shuts the VB down "Internal server error" Have tried twice and got stuck backing up the site hours wasted. Are we goign about this wrong?

well the question would be if you are following the instructions to a T it would not shut anything down so we need to figure out what is not being followed to a T. I have an idea.

A community photo gallery - ReefTalk Gallery

If you disable your plugin system in vbulletin does vbulletin work?

If so then you have not correctly followed the instructions concerning install the xml plugins.

Lets take this one step at a time try that and lets see. it also helps provide a url to the gallery so we can see your site.

ah the vb support site has info on how to disable there hook system but this should help

http://www.photopost.com/forum/1303154-post2.html

Your issue is definately related to how you installed plugins so disable plugins then go in and uninstall the photopost pro plugin and then reread the instructions on that plugin and you can redo things and make sure to reinstall it. I would suspect maybe you did not generate the plugin correctly or have permissions right.

remember after getting vbulletin hack up and removing the pro plugin then you need to remove the line from your vb config file so your plugins will be active again and you can verify you have reinstalled plugins correctly. If you do things should be active and your site should look like the example I provided.
