Changing database password

I tried changing my database pw for the forum and the gallery (separate databases), so after I updated my forum config and the gallery config-inc, I got a "can't connect to database message" from PP on the forum pages and PP pages. Do I have to removed the PP product/plugin from VB first, then regenerate a new product for VB after the change?

Anytime you change a database password you would have to update any config files or plugins that may have database info in them sure.

You would change your passwords for any databases and update the forum and gallery config files accordingly and then redo any plugins or if you know how to find the global variables plugin for photopost pro in the plugins list you could update any passwords there.

Ok, that's what I did and it worked. Also, I had to update the custom CMS widget code that shows PP pics with the new db pw. I did not find out that my CMS home page was also getting the "I cannot connect" message as I only checked the gallery and forum pages. One of my members alerted me. Simple fix. We are all good now.
