GD2 and IM
 

My forum was using GD2, so PP was set to use GD2 also. We switched to Imagemagic for the forum. Should I also switch PP to use IM too? Or it doesn't matter?

I prefer Imagemagick personally as it handles more formats and is not part of PHP and prone to the errors GD2.

You do not need to use the same processor as your forum as that does not matter.
