| install.php not found
Hi
Just went through the install for PP 8.12 upgrade from 7.01.
Got though the install fine but when I looked at the photopost page it wasn't displaying correctly. By this time I had removed the install dir.
Thought I'd upload the files again and try again but now when I navigate to the install page I get this error.
requested URL /photopost/install.php was not found on this server.
Using vB4.2.0, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Several Points.
You do not run the install from the main pp directory as the documentation states.
You would not run install.php when doing an install
You might also want to read the complete upgrade instructions under the documentations folder of the downloaded code as most issues upgrading have come from not reading the documentation when upgrading to PP8 from earlier versions and using vb4.
For example I do not know what you mean by it doesn't look right but I could guess if your integrating with vb4 you definately probally have not installed the plugins. There is a whole section dedicated to that specific forum style. Your gallery will not look correct until such time as you generate and install the xml file for vb4.

Should I upgrade from 7.0x-8.0, as I've uploaded the files?

If you have not ran the upgrade sure. Do not worry you are not the only one who jumped in with both feet.

Just tried it and got the white page on the first step.
Here's the end of the url
photopost/install/upgrade.php?upgrade=70&step=1
Is it something to do with the url/paths?

I am releasing 8.2 any minute so I can upgrade you to that unless you want to wait and do it yourself.

Your issue had nothing to do with upgrading. It appears to me that you apparently set the table prefix for your forum tables to bb_ so most likely when you tried reinstalling you reinstalled correctly. Anyway once I found your issue and fixed it you upgraded without issue. A community photo gallery - My Photo Gallery |

Thanks for that Chuck, I'll try and mind for the next time ;0)
One thing though, is the members featured photos on the forum page meant to have thumbnails attached, and how would I go about removing it if I wanted to later?

Yes there is meant to be a photo block there if you do not want that block to show you would simply under the plugin manager uncheck the plugin for the featured photo block.
