Problem with Generate XML File

Hi Chuck,

I am finishing my upgrade of Photopost PRO from 8.01 to 8.12. Everything has gone fine and I can browse to the gallery and all seems to be well.

I'm attempting to Generate vBulletin Plugin xml and clicking that shows me the xml as I would expect. But I get the following error when I click the Generate XML File button:

Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.
I sure thought I followed every step of the instructions to a 't', but I must have missed something.

My site is at woodturnerpro.com/photopost

Thanks in advance for your help.
Lloyd

Have you uploaded the install folder which houses the xml files and you set them to 777?

PhotoPost Pro

Your file seems to exist. I would suggest you make sure the xml files are 777 and you have also properly uploaded the new adm-plugin.php file as that file tells the program where to look for the actual plugins which are in a different location that they where in the 7 series.

Yes, all three htm files are 777. I re-uploaded adm-plugin.php from v8.12 just to make sure that it was there but I get the same results.

Can I just copy the text generated by the process to an xml file and use that in Manage Plugins?

I would be more interested why it doesn't work. I would suspect something has not been done correctly here. I would more info to assist. There is nothing new about the plugin system. We have been using this xml plugin stuff for the entire several years vb4 has been out.

Do you see the plugin code in the box when you hit generate plugin?

You can send me an admin login and ftp info to check out the files and what is happening if you want.

You can not just copy the xml to vb as there is replacement stuff that happens in admin when you generate the xml to fill in proper information for your specific site.
