upgrade: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in config-inc.php on line 42

I tried to upgrade from pp7 to pp8, so I've uploaded all files in the package, overwritten all files, set the correct data in config-inc.php and config-int.php.

After that I selected in the upgrade script to upgrade from 7 to 8.03

Right after submitting I get the following error:

Line 41 and 42 are the following in config-inc.php:

Content visible to verified customers only.

This value has been double-checked along with the others and are just like the values that I've used for the config-inc.php and config-int.php files for 7.03. My vbulletin is still working, so there are no problems with the database or server.

There has to be an error with the way your editing your config script. Usually the error might be before I can not say.

Usually when upgrading you do not need to edit the config script at all simply running the upgrade.
