Hi
just upgraded to 8.03 from 7

all went well, looked great till I treid to look at the images. All the members gallerys and the galleries I created show thumbnails but click on them you get the "error 404" message.

Any ideas on how to fix the broken links???

Mark

Yep you need to insure you actually rename the HTACCESS file to .htaccess if you want to use SEO.

Ok on that one.. got it work fine, however upgraded the classifieds to 5.0 and all hell broke loose.

So trying to sort stuff out see what I did wrong etc. managed to get get the classifieds and photo post looking correct. However I cannot access the forum now and get this syntax error

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
I can see a link in the navigation manager for photo post classifieds but not one for photo post pro. Should there be one?

Anyway back to the real problem I can access the galleries and classifieds and home pages on the VB4 cms, but get the errors above when trying to access forums, any clues?

Everything seems to view fine although you have not installed the gallery navbar plugin for some reason.

With the above meantioned errors I would suggest you have the proper information entered under Admin => Edit Integration and then follow the instructions in the upgrade documentation to reinstall the vb4 plugins. You can uninstall any current photopost plugin in your vb plugin manager.

after a lot of searching and playing round I disabled

"Photopost Featured Photos on Forumhome" and the forum worked again.

also the gallery version on forum home as well.

This removed the syntax error

I also found a typo in the config on the classifieds I have updated that and re did the xml thing.

As for the photo post pro navbar plugin can you please let me know how you where this is. I had to add one manually .

Cheers for looking into this for me.

Mark as noted uninstall and PhotoPost Pro plugins in vb product manager and then follow the upgrade instructions on how to do the new plugins and you will be able to generate a functional plugin and install it.

Yep if you had meantioned upgrading the forum to 4.2 then I would have picked up on that earlier. That post should resolve any issue you have.

that sorted it... I have the 4.2 navigation thing now, one thing though I still have the same thing repeated - IE the old navigation and admin links. Can I remove these some how... sorry to be a pain.

No nothing added by myself. I have the plugin working now so you have the tab. Which when clicked on brings up the gallery.

Under the navigation tabs you then get the links to admin. upload my photos etc.

However these are still present as in the older version of the gallery.

Which seems a bit weird. Obviously if this is how its ment to be then ill have to liv with it. I just perhaps mistakenly thought once i got the plugin working right those would move up to the navbar area like in the wonderfull new 5.03 classfieds.

see attached picture

Cheers
Mark

There has been no official release of PhotoPost Pro yet to support vb 4.20 series. Now your using a modified xml file I have that puts the navigation in the vb navtab submenu. In the upcoming PhotoPost Pro 8.1 due out soon we will add official support of the vb 4.2 navigation system.

You can replace your menubar template in your copy with this one if you want to get the benefit of the new 4.2 support.
