New Photopost Pro 8.0.3 Installation

Hi, I installed a new VB 4.1.11, followed by installing PP Pro 8.0.3. Then I imported the PP's XML file into VB. But when I go to my forum main page, the page completely changed. It was mostly in text form. It lost the graphics display. May I know the cause of this. Thanks.

I am just testing it on our test server. The IP address is xx.xx.xx.xx/forum.
If I remove the PP 8 plugin on the VB4, the forum page will be normal again.

Thanks.

You can send admin login through the contact us link.

I made some progress today. I was able to "solve" the problem by disabling the standard products/plugins that come with VB4.1.11 publish suite. These products are:

Skimlinks Plugin 4.1.11 Official Skimlinks plugin for vBulletin
vBulletin Blog 4.1.11 Personal web log, integrated with vBulletin.
vBulletin CMS 4.1.11 Content Management System

The procedure is to first disable all these three products through VB's Manage Products menu. Then, I need to uncheck each of the PP8 plugins (at the VB's Plugin Manager menu). Click "Save Active Status" button. While still in the VB Plugin Manager menu, check all the PP8 plugins, and then click the "Save Active Status" button.

Althought the problem (lost of style) seems to go away, I have no idea what is causing this problem. Do you have any idea, Chuck?

Admin login sent.

well my site uses the publishing suite and there are no issues. Our software has supported vb4 since the very first day it was released.

We have many customers who use thje products together with no issue. I will look for the info I need as you say you have sent and we shall see if I can see your problem

My thoughts is it is related your specific server setup

Unfortunately your page source does not give us any info as to what your issue would be. The page source is identical between a working copy and a non working copy. The issue is your style is not being found. I see no reason why this would be from installing a product plugin other than vbulletins.

I believe though since we see no issues on publically installed copies this has to be related to your home IP accessible install

Are you going to install on a real web server? Are you actually going to install using a domain name?

I am not a server tech so I do not have extensive knowledge here on setting up servers. I handle software related problems.

Yes, we will install it at live server with a domain name once it is working. Currently we are running PP5.2 and VB3.7 with that domain name on another server. So, I cannot switch over the domain name till everything is working on the new server. By the way, the new server (as well as the current test server) is using Windows server 2008. Are there anything I should look out for? I saw a thread which you mentioned we use "/" insted of "\" in the server path. It is still the same for PP8?

I would suspect that once you install on a real server setup you should have no problems installing the plugin.

Ok, thanks. Did you edit anything in the PP's plugins list. I remember I saw many (something like 10) PP's plugings in the list, but now only left with one.

I did not install the plugin really

All I did was place the style stuff under your additional.css and add a navbar link.
