Image Issue after Upgrade to 8.0.3

Hi there,

We upgraded from 7.0.1 to 8.0.3 and everything looks and works great so far except for some reason some images aren't showing up properly. When I am signed in as my admin account it all looks fine but when I am logged out or signed in as a regular user there are blank spots in some areas. I also notice there is more images when logged out or logged in as a regular user than logged in as admin. Also it only seems to be like that one the home (index) page.

Any input on what to do would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Just noticed something that may help... the blank spot at the top that seems to be throwing it all off... on the admin view I can see the top far right image because I am admin and it is a private category but it seems instead of just ignoring it when logged out or logged in as a regular user it is keeping that blank space there and then adding the next images. Not sure what do to do to fix it.

There are no issues the blanks are suppose to be in there for images that a user does not have permission to see.

Oh okay. I didn't realize that was the way it was supposed to be. I know on another Photopost board they have private categories and I they don't have a blank spot. It just shows the next public image in it's spot. I was hoping it was something that could be removed. So there isn't any way to just have it not show up instead of the blank? Thanks for the help!

Things do change. There is no setting to make things work like they may have in earlier versions.

There have been blanks though from version 7 and up.

You can try setting a higher grab limit in your sidebar settings in admin to try and pull more images but as stated if your pulling 30 images and trying to show say 12 images ansd the user has permission to only show 9 image you will get blanks to fill the table. This is indeed how it has been for quite some time. In the early days we use to query the whole photos table which was a resource hog.

Hi Chuck,

Thanks for the help! We couldn't find where you can set the amount of photos it grabs. We looked in the admin sidebar at all the options and didn't see anything. Is it under a specific place?

Thanks!

Well you tell the program how many photos to show and if you edit the pp-inc.php file you see where we try to add some more. You can change the 5 and 25 to higher numbers if you want.
