Cannot log into gallery after VB upgrade I upgraded my VB to VB 4.1.10 and now it will not sync with my gallery. I did not touch any gallery files. When I go to my gallery and try to upload it ask me for the login info. After I put the into in it tell me "Invalid login. Please check your username and password, or register.". I uploaded vb tools.php and cleared my cookies but it did not help matters. Is there something I need to do to make this work after upgrading to VB 4.1.10. |
http://www.photopost.com/forum/photo...-problems.html That tutorial should assist. As long as cookies are set correctly to be site wide and you have the proper be license number entered in the config your login should be integrated. You can view your browser cookies through there options or tools menu and determine what is wrong also. |
My cookies were set and working before the upgraded, I did not change them. I reset them with the vb tools.php file and then re-entered the cookie data again. Then I went to verify the VB license and it was wrong. I put the correct license in (it was working with the wrong license for a long time). After putting in the correct license it still does not work. I even cleared my browsers cookies and it still is not working. Any ideas? |
well not like I can assist without more info like a url and user login. I use vbulletin myself version 4.1.11 and we have 8.x installed on many vb sites even this very site which is vb3. Nothing has changed as far as how integration works in PP8. |
I have it installed on other sites too but they have not been upgraded yet. Let me get the login info and send it to you in a support ticket. |
Yeah clearly as long as things are installed correctly they will work. If you changed your config information to vbulletin when upgrading then that could be your issue if your not connecting to the right vbulletin install. As long as your connecting and cookies are right you should be logged in. |
I replied to your helpdesk email. Your gallery is installed as a standalone gallery it is not installed with vb. |
How would that have changed. It was working with VB forums in the past. What would have caused this to turn into a stand alone gallery? |
Or maybe it wasn't. Maybe I just happened to have the same password. Is there any way of installing this to work with VB and not losing the photos I have in it now? |
Sure rerun your install script name sure you install into the same gallery database put the correct forum info you will see some duplicate mysql errors but if you run properly through install you will fix your issue. |
