Question Gallery Tab - vB 4.x

Chuck,

Looks like in the recent upgrade I picked up a new tab in vB 4 that says "Gallery." I already have a tab added with an addon that says what we cant it to say.

So, I need to either remove the Gallery tab or change it to say something else (and than I could remove my other one easily).

How could I either edit or remove that tab?

Thanks.

well I would remove whatever tab you added prior. Our application has all the proper stuff it needs to function so I can not really speak on some manual tab you made.

You of course can do whatever you wish.

Yeah I know but what I am asking is how I could change the "Gallery" tab text to say something else.

I do not know all the hook locations. I can tell you ours uses a hook location navtab_middle hook so you would have to investigate which hook location you want it near in the navbar vb template and then in the PhotoPost Navbar Link plugin you would need to change the hook location navtab_middle to which one you want.

I can delete the manual tab that shows Galería and instal the XML but i need to translate the menu. My problem is simple, I need to translate Gallery to Galería in the Navbar

Done, now: the plugins take the phrases from the translated spanish definition file? I have all text in english on the XML and I see phrases not present in spanish.php

I can translate all by hand but perhaps you should include the XML phrases to the languages so we could translate them.

I love v8, it's more integrated with vBulletin so I'll do my best to work on it.

You can do that right in the photopost navbar link plugin.

The navbar has been edited, and working fine, the problem is the rest of the translation

You could extract the phrases so we can translate? I'll do it in a hurry

I'll do that and later I'll try to make a XML with the translation so you can use it.

Hi there Pirate45

Did you manage how to turn off the 'Gallery' tab, or change it to something else, as since upgrading we have exactly the same problem as you - a new 'Gallery' tab has appeared, since our recent upgrade.

You would remove whatever custom tab you created for the gallery our product plugin creates and shows its own gallery tab and is the one you should use. So the real answer is to remove the one you personally did.

Yeah, I'm sure that's the most sensible thing to do, but is there any way to rename it 'Photos' rather than 'Gallery'?

Sure in your photopost navbar link plugin in your plugin manager you can change it to what you wish.
