Indexhead.tmpl (Search Bar)

Hi Chuck,

I have just upgraded from V8RC1 to the latest v8. I've noticed that this also contains a number of indexhead.tmpl files which appear to result in the re-instatement of the original search bar above the categories.

Is there an option within Admin to turn this feature off? If not, could it be added? I am more than happy with side search facility and don't wish to display this.

Thanks in advance...

Actually this in index.php

Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.
make it this instead

Thanks Chuck,

That's returned me to what I wanted.

Would it be possible to add the functionality to switch this search bar "on and off" from within Admin in the near future? I'm just worried that following a future upgrade, I would lose these coding statements unless I follow your comments again above.

If you are looking for any reference sites for v8, please feel free to include mine. I intend to keep the vb4 interface 'as is' (vanilla) for the foreseeable future.

Regards, Lee

No the application is coded as I note above. If the sidebar is off the it will appear.

No worries, could I add this to a future 'feature/enhancement request' please?

Many thanks, Lee

You misunderstand what I am saying.

The downloadable application already has the change I noted in post 2.
