Contest/Voteing

Sorry for the questions

I have made a new category for testing, and added some photos into the topic and turned contest on for that section and clicked enable voting, it shows vote count 0 but i do not see the vote link? i tried looking to vote as a non admin member and a guest member but still do not see link to vote:confused:

--------------------

Also i just noticed that logging in as a non admin its not saying im registered for the gallery, and when i log in again says need to register.

Now just another thought have you set category permissions on what groups can vote under admin edit categories.

The code is very specific.

Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.
Here is what has to happen for a vote link to be shown. The category in question must be set to voting not rating. The image can not be your own and you can not have already rated it and you have to be logged in and the category permissions must be set on which groups can vote on images in the category.

I did set that as you said - Having a issue where members registered says not registered on gallery, also i am logging in at work computer (admin) and it tells me i am not logged in on the gallery as well, at home it logs me in just fine. i created a whole new member and that won allow log in on gallery as well

I have tested the voting it appear to work just fine on my test site and even here.

Your photopost is installed as a standalone and your logging in through your forum so yes your not going to be integrated with your forum. You would need to properly install Photopost to integrate with the forum for things to work right.

That is probally the heart of your issue.

We have installed via your install instructions, what is this proper way to install photopost so we can use properly.

Well you installed but on installation you choose an internal install not external. All this is explained on installation itself.

You would need to empty the pp_usergroups and pp_users table and then rerun the install file and go through the install. On step 3 when it asks for internal or external install as it notes if integrating with a forum you select external. Once you do that on step 4 and step 5 is where you input all the proper information to integrate with your vbulletin 4 forum.

Basically all you did it looks like is install a standalone photopost and then set some switches to load the vb4 header footer style. You will notice on your gallery menubar the register link goes to our registration page not your forums. This is how I know your using a standalone install.

Thank you - will work on this tonight.

Not a problem. I think you will find once properly installed things should work better.

Your cookies are wrong or you did not install and correctly enter your vb table prefix so the usergroups are not imported thats the only way your going to get invalid admin.

Try reinstalling after making sure your cookies in the forum are set like we note and pay attention to all the install questions making sure to enter any correct database info cookie prefix etc in vb.
