| When uploading..."Security Error"
Just installed the bulletin plug-in if that matters...
Prior to this - I would upload a file, get no errors and it wouldn't show up.
Now, when I upload a file I get a red box that says "Security Error" that disappears after a few seconds.
Any ideas?

check that the path is correct and that the data folder and all folders beneath it are 777 permissions and if your using the flash uploader try turning it off and use the regular upload.
You can post a url and test login here.

Flash was on - turned it off
Data and all folders below it ... 777
Which "path" are you referring to?

Under "Photopost"

yes double check your server path in phpinfo make sure its correct. sometimes hosts do change server paths.
Your can not read file is usually a path permissions error.

OKay...this is weird.
When I edit settings, then click save, I get a blank page in the middle and only see the links on the left. When I click "Edit Settings" again, it didn't save any of the changes...
Figured this out because Flash Uploads was set back to "Yes".

You probally do not have permissions set right depending on what your trying to edit but then again hard for me to say with such limited information that you have provided here.
What information you have posted is all about permissions. You can place a url and test login for us to check it out.

Not sure what you mean by place a url and test login...
URL to the site is joinphotography.com/photopost
What permissions would effect your ability to not save changes to the "upload settings" section in the admin area?

Flash uploader is "on"...I know you said to turn it off. But when I do, I'm unable to save the changes to that page. When I click save, it just loads a blank page. When I refresh, none of the changes have been saved.
This probably needs to be fixed first...

security error means the flash uploader is not compatible with your server thats the error you get its coming from the server you must turn it off. Then try uploading a smaller file what happens?

The file I was trying to upload was 200-300k.
I can't turn it off because of the other issue I mentioned. When I go into the upload settings and make the change, then click "save", it loads a blank white page with just the links on the left. When you re-load the page, it switches back to all the old settings...basically not saving your changes.
Any ideas on that?

Okay...now the issue has come full circle. I don't get the security error anymore.
BUT I'm back to the original issue. I upload a file, get a "success" message and then you go back to the main screen and you don't see the photo and it says 0 photos and 0.0 Mb.

Warning: move_uploaded_file([path]/photopost/uploads/1/printer.jpg) [function.move-uploaded-file]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in [path]/photopost/image-inc.php on line 56
Warning: move_uploaded_file() [function.move-uploaded-file]: Unable to move '/tmp/php1XLqLb' to '[path]/photopost/uploads/1/printer.jpg' in [path]/photopost/image-inc.php on line 56
And this error in the middle of the screen
Unable to move file [/tmp/php1XLqLb] -> [/var/www/vhosts/joinphotography.com/httpdocs/photopost/uploads/1/printer.jpg]

As I stated in my initial reply this is either a path or permissions issue. We seem to be getting nowhere on this issue here.
If the path is correct check that the uploads and data folders as well as any folders beneath them at every level are 777 permissions. Safe mode must also be off in php as noted in our requirements to run the application.
You can send us information like url admin login ftp info through the contact us link in our header.
