Photo upload hangs (moving gallery to a new server)

Hi! I've had a nice gallery working since 2/2010 and the store it's attached to is getting too big for our MPS (viaVerio) so we're moving it to a cloud setup (GoGrid).

So far I've set almost everything up properly. But one big problem is the photo upload: I can't upload a photo! It hangs. I fill in the steps to upload a photo (size limit: 8 MB) and try to upload a 186KB file. Then I get the following:

Preparing to process image list!

Click here if you do not want to wait any longer
(or if your browser does not automatically forward you)

And it stays like that forever. Any ideas/suggestions will be helpful! Thanks so much!

SERVER
We were using a FreeBSD server, and we're moving to a Bitnami LAMP stack
(Linux). ImageMagick came on it pre-installed.

PHP
Version 5.2.13

MySQL
Version 5.1.30

Host
New: Dedicated cloud server (old: dedicated managed private server)
Hosted by GoGrid

Gallery URL
the bb is being annoying about this link so I am putting spaces in it.
dev designhousedigital (c) / gallery

How to Move Servers and/or Change Directories

If you moved servers have you changed all paths to the new server paths in the admin options and permissions on the data and uploads directories are 777 permissions recursively?

Are file uploads on in PHP and safe mode Off?

If you have your image processor set to GD2 is GD2 in your PHPINFO?

Basically without knowing more info on how things are setup it is hard to say what your specific issue would be.

You can send an admin url to the contact us link for me to check your paths and settings etc
