Photopost 7.1 + Xenforo 1.0

Hello, trying to install a fresh install of Photopost that uses the Xenforo user database. On step 5 of the install i get this error on the top of the page:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
When installation is complete i am presented with the admin login screen. At the top it has these errors:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
When i try to login using my Xenforo administrator account i get:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Tried altering a few settings in my config part of the script, but still cannot get it working. Any ideas?

Well things I would suggest you check are this

1. on the config portion you have entered the correct database information where asked for xenforo.

2. on the config portion you entered the correct globalsalt where asked for

3. On step 4 where you select xenforo as your integration type you enter the correct xenforo mysql table prefix asked for.

Your errors suggest your database info or xenforo table prefix have not been entered correctly thus there are connection issues trying to run simple queries against your xenforo database.

You need to reinstall using the correct information.

Thanks for quick reply Chuck. Step 4 i added:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
and worked ok.

Thanks again Chuck.

No problem pretty much thought that was your issue but covered the most logical choices for you to check

hi,

I just step in the row under this header

I've switched from vbulletin4 to xenforo 1.0.1 few days back.
we also switched to amore powerfull server which ist a dedicated server and admistrated by us.
after getting all the issues due to the forumimport solved, its time now for photopost to move in.

I've copied the files from old to new server, same with the database.

I followed the guide for switching integrations accordingly.
we also installed pp 7.1

what happend was that during first installation we had an issue with the chmod rights in the data folder.
it was shown as error message during install.
this has been resolved and installation was completed.

next step should be to refresh usergroups from first page of install.php.
the message I received there is:
Quote:
We're sorry, but we encountered an error during the installation process...

You can only change the Administrator password for Internal registration systems.

If you have corrected the error, you may hit GO BACK and try again.
As we did installation now over and over without any error we have no clue what to do here.

in general, the photopost galerie comes up and I'm allowed to login with the superuser account from the forum, no other account is allowed.
the design from the xenforo installation is pulled from photopost - means for me the connection is there.

zroadster.com - BMW Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z8, M, MINI, Roadster + Coupe

could you please give me a hint what to do to get the users connected?

thx as always

thorsten

well check to be sure all variables are correct proper database etc.

I am not aware of any reason why one user can login but others cant.

hi,

ten times checked... also with "wrong" informations to check if something is happening "trial-n-error"

I'm unsure regarding the "userfix.php" script - do I have to run it, what is happening then in the pp-db?

thx!

All depends on your situation. userfix is a script to realign userid's to the proper ones based off a username when you switch an integration which is really not a supported thing since we can not guarantee success or all users exist in some other forum. One would hope your forum import script imports all users without messing up their usernames.

If you have successfully installed photopost with xenforo things will work. I registered a username on your site and it authenticates fine but your not logged in because your cookies are all messed up.

On step 4 of the install you specify your forum cookie prefix and that should be xf_ you left it empty and thats your issue.

Your cookies in photopost should be set the way the cookie FAQ states on here so your cookies are sitewide and work everywhere.

oh chuck, your the best
it works like charm now

it is a surprise - coming from vb I knew where to and how to setup cookie posibilities.
as there is now option at all (out side the script-files) I thought the best idea is to leave it blank or put / in photopost
shame on me

THANK OU SO MUCH !!!!!

may I also ask another question here?

I dont get it to adjust the width of the photopost main table.
it comes to 100% and I would like to have it with 90%.
plz see attachment.

in which template I have to adjust this?

thanks as always!

cheers
thorsten

I added to the bottom of header.htm:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Then added to the top of footer.htm:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Then worked ok.

Yeah the best way to control main site width is thru a header footer file since the main application can have multiple table structures with sidebars and using anything but 100% can lead to weird results. when your not using a sidebar you can use the global width setting.
