Site restore problem Hi: I am in the process of restoring my site after it was hacked. Hopefully stronger passwords and a careful watch on users will prevent this from happening again. My problem is that I have installed the latest version of PhotoPost Pro and restored the db from a prehack back-up and everything looks fine but when you click on a category you get a Server 500 error. Also, I as admin can't upload any photos. I am integrated with VB4 (latest version) but I haven't restored the vb users because several of the accounts are suspect. Could that have something to do with the problem? No users? If that's the problem is there a workaround? I checked all the permissions and they are set properly. The site is at: birds of central park photo gallery - Birds of Central Park Photo Gallery and is not open for business yet. Thanks. Cal |
You will most likely need to reinstall if your setting up on a new server at least to fix any path or file permissions issues arising from restoring things running through an install procedure will fix most things. The install instructions are located off the support tab in our header. Also if thing database backup is older than the 7.0 series you will need to run any applicable upgrade needed. |
Site restore problem Chuck: Thanks for the tips but I am pretty sure I have done all that. The only thing I am not sure of is what version of the PhotoPro db I restored. Is there a way to check that? Also, most everything seems to be working except individual categories. They return a Server 500 error when you click on them. The url for a typical category is http://www.birdsofcentralpark.com/ph...lery.pho/cat/2. I can find no "cat" directory. Is that what's missing? Also, when I try to upload a photo I get "Sorry, you don't have permission to upload photos." even though I am the admin. Thanks Cal |
Make sure all your core php files in your main photopost directory are 644 permissions? |
Site restore problem Chuck: That did it. Thank you. Cal |
