No Photos displaying after upgrade

Hi,

I just upgraded to the latest version of Photopost.

I backed up my old Photopost folder.

Then ran the install script, with everything set correctly.

Then I copied the data folder, and the upload folder from my olf Photopost folder over the new installation, so that all the data is in the right location.

Now there are no photos showing at all.

I also integrated with VB3, and now my administrator password does not allow me to access Photopost.

Can you help please.

Thanks

Shane

You did not run any upgrades I would assume looking at that site. You meantion a reinstall but not running all the right upgrades. You then had server paths wrong or filenames incorrect depending on what you upgraded from. At any rate you saw no photos and did a scan database to rebuild images.

You need to restore a copy of your photos table in the database make sure all the paths etc are all correct and run the upgrades from your previous version once.

Hi,

I could not see any information on the installation guide regarding how to upgrade.

I assumed your install script would have compared versions and upgraded the database etc accordingly.

So what is the process of upgrading from one version to another?

Have I screwed up the database running your script?

Can I simply rename my old version of Photopost and the follow your instructions?

Happy New Year.

Thanks

Shane

I can't get into the system as an administrator to do anything.

That is the issue maybe? I cannot scan database to rebuild images.

Shane upgrade documentation is located right in the documentation folder of the downloaded code. There is an upgrade script you run but all this depends on what version you upgraded from and what else you have or have not done.

Upgrading is usually as simple as uploading the new files minus config files and running an upgrade script.

Running the install script again if you did so incorrectly can definately mess everything up with an integration.

Look what happens when I run your upgrade. Now delete the install and upgrade files off your server.
