Some SQL errors after upgrade Hello. We have been using photopost for years and we love it. Just recently upgraded the forum to 4.0.8 and obviously needed the Photopost upgrade as well. First weird thing is that after I FTP'd the files over my Photopost admin showed the current version as 7.03 in the admin without running any script through the upgrade console. So that hasn't been done and I am sure it needs to be. The page looks fine I am just getting the following SQL error in the header Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/jsmith/public_html/thedarktower.org/gallery/pp-inc.php on line 4298 And these two in the footer. Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/jsmith/public_html/thedarktower.org/gallery/pp-inc.php on line 1242 Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/jsmith/public_html/thedarktower.org/gallery/pp-inc.php on line 1246 It looks pretty good otherwise. Here is a link to it. http://www.thedarktower.org/gallery EDIT I am also getting "This category does not contain any images" when clicking on my categories. EDIT2 I think my problem is the upgrade script. I have no idea what version I was on before upgraded so I don't know where to start. |
well yes you need to run the upgrades from your last version but the initial error I see by clicking your link is you overwrote your config file which means you need to edit config-inc.php and place all the correct information in that file then you can go back and run what upgrades you need to. |
I believe I got those two php files sorted out and ran the upgrade. SQL errors are gone. I think I may have accidentally ran the upgrade script from a previous version though. My only problem now is that I am seeing no images. Just the default image http://www.thedarktower.org/gallery/images/nothumb.gif |
You ran an old upgrade like 4.85 you where not suppose to You need to restore a backup of your database and then rerun the upgrade scripts selecting the versions you need to based on what version your old version was. You should be safe to restore a database backup and run 5.2 forward without issues. |
Thank you. I screwed this up six ways from Sunday and couldn't find the old version anywhere. Then it was plain as day in that config-inc.php I will do that very thing and go from 5.2 forward. |
No problem as long as you restore a known good backup and run that upgrades with the new files you should be okay then. |
