For pics that are too small I get a different message.
The message I get is:

My suggestion would be make sure your files and user directories are 777 and the path is off.
Is safe mode on in php?

Chuck, can this script function without those directories having 777 permissions? Aren't there security issues with having the directory permissions as such?

well there are not security issues if you are running secure software and not code hacks. its a complicated issue and I am a software geek not a server tech. I will say what I know.
As far as 99.9% of servers out there the directories have to be 777 if you want files to be uploaded to them. Look at vbulletin as well as our site and you will see we all suggest 777 for certain directories. Thats because your upload files to data and uploads. Same thing would go in vbulletin for the attachments, signaturepics or customavatars directories.
You would have to ask your host if there is a way to upload files to a directory that is NOT 777. There is a way to do it but most all hosts are not setup like this hense all the sites out there like us and vb suggest you set directories to 777.

Try turning off the flash uploader but my main question would be why does it look like that with you turning the flash uploader on and the most logical answer would be that you have not uploaded all the files being that you recently upgraded so you can always reupload all the files and the issue should be corrected.

Where I can disable this option MySQL?
I did not find a record with/
Enable Flash uploader?
Selects flash uploader if user is registered and flash is installed. As a 3rd party plug-in, this option is not supported by PhotoPost support.
