| issue after upgrade can not reset password
since upgrading, users that forget their password are sent an email, but that email just links them back to their profile. i tested this with my testuser and got the same issue.

You just requested that your password be reset at Astronomy Astrophoto Gallery.
In order to do so, you must click on the link below or copy it into your web browser: Member Profile - Astrophotogallery
Thanks!

My suggestion would be to redownload the build upload all files except install upgrade and your config files. delete the old .htaccess file from the gallery directory and rename HTACCESS to .htaccess
If using the latest code that fixes all bugs you should be able to edit the profile etc.

I downloaded the file from 1-21 which I did not know about. I copied over all the files and renamed .htaccess to backup and renamed HTACCESS to .htaccess. I still have this issue.

I did not do anything to fix this. I simply went to your site and checked out the profile
You fixed this when you uploaded the fixed clean code.

that's confusing to me. I tested it after applying the new files and the issue was still there. I don't think php files get cached.

I am just telling you the actions I took where what I explained in the email which is why i explained as long as you had the proper new php files there you should be fine.
php is not cached but your browser could be. meaning you saw a page that was displaying the old content.
