Best way to upgrade & switch forums

I am currently running PPPro 6.23 integrated with an SMF forum. I am in the process of making several changes & need to know the best way to go about it so I don't lose any of my PPPro current photos, comments, etc.

Here are the things I need to accomplish:

1. Upgrade PPPro to 7.01. Or if possible, I would prefer a clean install of the full version so I can get back to the original settings and start over.

2. Integrate with my new forum, vBulletin 3.8-4 Patch Level 2

I have not imported my forum users, threads, etc. into my new forum yet as I wasn't sure if I should do that before or after integrating with Photopost.

I figured I would need to use my existing Photopost database, but if there is a clean, easy way to instead use my forum database, I would be interested in that.

Can you suggest the best way to proceed?

TIA...

well if you dont want to lose photos you dont do a clean install.

You would follow these instructions different forum name but same steps basically

Switching from phpbb to vbulletin
