Reverse order in search

Hi forum

I dont remember if in the 6.x version was egual, but in PP7 the search and the post of last X days is is nor correct, I suppose...

If I search the photos of last 7 days, the first page is the last day of 7 days, but the order of photo is not correct. the new photo and not last photo is the first, see date and time here: Cerca - TevacPhoto Gallery

I believe that the order of photos must be equal of order of page, the last inserted for first.

tnx

The search results in search are displayed one way oldest to newest doesnt not matter what search your doing.

yes, is oldest to newest (older fist) in the single page of results, but the results is more pages the page this is newest to oldest, newest first, this is not logical, see the date, is not continuous.

also the results in page should newest to oldest for continuous results from first page of results to last page.

I hope you understand that despite my bad english ...

I understand what your saying regardless of how the english is written

I am only telling you how it is. The developer has the search operate results oldest to newest. Remember this is not a category where you can set a default sort order.

yes, but if the search results is oldest to newest, also the paged should in this order, instead the paged is reverse order.

I like to order newest first

but when i see the photo of last day, in every galleries, logically I wait the latest photo first, the next photo in chronological order. If I see more days results, is the same, also for paged.

what I'm trying to say is that the order used in the gallery is not logic: if the orders is oldest first, the chronological order must also be respected by pages.

I also believe that at this point it is necessary to choose the order in PP admin

Pagination has nothing to do with a sort order. If you have 60 results and display 12 perpage its going to display 5 pages and they are all gonna be oldest to newest.

I understand the logic of the results of the gallery, respond exactly by your logic.

What I'm trying to say, is that I think your logic not correct.

I think that the results of link "1 day - 7 days - 14 days - All" and the results of search should respond exactly as a forum....

Now I learn more the english and maybe I explain better...

First off its not my logic. I am merely explaining how the program operates. There is not really anything more I can say. Your always free to alter your code to suit your needs.

yes, I appreciate your good work and I thank every day for all the support, is not a consideration of the person, and certainly not about you.

unfortunately I am not able to modify the code to change the results of search, if I could I did... :-)
