You will need to run the upgrade.php script after updating your files.

For the new SEO urls make sure to do the following before proceeding.

Unix Servers: Rename the HTACCESS file in the downloaded code to .htaccess and make sure that is placed in your photopost directory before turning on SEO urls and mod rewrite must be enabled on the server.

Windows Servers: To enable SEO urls on a windows server you must have an ISAPI rewrite manager installed and enter the contents of the HTACCESS file included in the download to your ISAPI rewrite manager.

Chuck,

My apologies if this question is obvious, but does PP-Pro 7.0 work with 3.x vbulletin, or does one need to use vb 4.0 beforehand?

The PP demo appears to be a previous version. Are you using 7.0 on your reeftalk site? If so, is that how it would "generally" appear on a vb 3.x site?

It would still work the same with vb3.

So it doesnt matter vb3 vb4 its all the same our code is compatible with both.

I followed instructions after of course taking backup of files, database and putting the site into offline mode. And I had no issues with the upgrade so far. I do see a few things that are displaying differently. I will report back if any are issues.

It seems the only issue I had where the customizations I made myself. I had to redo those, but otherwise everything went smoothly with no issues.

I think you've moved lightbox.css from the main directory into the stylesheets directory? (6.23 - 7.0) Mine wasn't working until I spotted that.

Chuck S December 22nd, 2009 12:51 AM

That was moved I think a few versions back maybe 6.1 or so.

Hi!

I just downloaded the photopost7.zip from the members area, but it's a version 6.3 inside.. Should I update my license in order to download the "real" photopost V.7 ? Or there is something wrong with the photopost7.zip file?

Chuck S December 23rd, 2009 07:40 AM

If you downloaded photopost7 from the download area then you have photopost7 there is no photopost 6.3 inside

here is the quote from the config-inc.php.NEW file which is inside the photopost7.zip:

Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.
there is a confusing "Photopost News" announcement in the admin area:

Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.
however I can see all the new features in control panel..

Your version in the admin statistics panel reads 7.0 right ;)
