Upgrade option not showing?

I am upgrading pp 5.3 to 6.2. I have unpacked and uploded all the files (except the config and install.php) and went to upgrade.php.

The last upgrade option there is 5.2x to 5.3. did I miss something, or do I have to do a fresh install to upgrade this far?

well you would run all the upgrades through to 6.2 from 5.3

If your upgrade shows the last upgrade as being 5.2 to 5.3 then you have not uploaded the new files or very least upgrade.php

Basically if your upgrading from 5.3 you want to upload everything in the 6.2 download except the two config scripts install script and possibly header and footer htm files. everything else has changed.
