Chuck, still freezing...

Hi Chuck. Excuse the frustration in my voice but I've been dealing with this for 2 days now and absolutely nothing has worked. Ever since we ran the PhotoPost upgrade, my gallery has been completely nonfunctional. Everything gets stuck in the queue. Your instructions from yesterday have been followed precisely. We really don't know what else to do at this point in time. I am at Main Index - Gallery

And from what I'm reading too, this seems to be a common error going on with the white page and not redirecting as it should.

This is the error that I'm getting from server logs:

[12-Jul-2009 12:24:15] PHP Fatal error: require() [<a
href='function.require'>function.require</a>]: Failed opening required 'pp-inc.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/couttsc/public_html/gallery/index.php on line 22
[12-Jul-2009 15:20:30] PHP Warning: require(pp-inc.php) [<a
href='function.require'>function.require</a>]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/couttsc/public_html/gallery/uploadphoto.php on line 20
[12-Jul-2009 15:20:30] PHP Warning: require(pp-inc.php) [<a
href='function.require'>function.require</a>]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/couttsc/public_html/gallery/uploadphoto.php on line 20
[12-Jul-2009 15:20:30] PHP Fatal error: require() [<a
href='function.require'>function.require</a>]: Failed opening required 'pp-inc.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/couttsc/public_html/gallery/uploadphoto.php on line 20

All we did is upgrade and then all of this happened.

Also when a image is placed in the queue, Internet Explorer pops up this.
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Also we have uplaoded all orginal Photopost files to our server with no luck.

We doubled checked all URLs and Paths.
We are running GD2 imaging processing

Upgrading would not cause something like this I can say that.

This should help

upload goes to blank screen

You should also via ftp go to your photopost directions double click uploads and delete every numeric directory beneath it that will get rid of any unprocessed images.

Default Upload Photo Options...what are they? I've figured out the rest but desperately need this. I don't know the regular pixel stuff that it should be.

I distinctly remember ImageMagick being set and it was changed to GD2 which fixed my freezing problem, but now I'm getting:

Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 127

Command:

"/home/couttsc/public_html/gallery/ImageMagick-5.5.6-Q16/mogrift.exe" -strip -resize "250x" -resize "x170<" -gravity center -crop 250x170+0+0 -quality 100 -unsharp 10 '/home/couttsc/public_html/gallery/data/500/thumbs/NTYW14_Outside_Close_up.jpg'

I think that if I knew the default Upload Photo Options, I might be in business again. Thank you and I really hope there's a light at the end of this dark tunnel!

Also, been reading more about the mogrify path which I believe is the ultimate key on an error code 127. What should the proper path be?

I cant tell you what the proper path on your forum would be but if your on a linux server it might be something like this

/usr/bin/mogrify

or

/usr/local/bin/mogrify

You would need to specifically use GD2 if mogrify is not installed.

Hi Chuck, tried both and got this error:

Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 127

Command:

"/usr/local/bin/mogrify" -strip -resize "250x" -resize "x170<" -gravity center -crop 250x170+0+0 -quality 100 -unsharp 10 '/home/couttsc/public_html/gallery/data/500/thumbs/NTYW14_Outside_Close_up.jpg'

I know that ImageMagick is installed as I talked to the host personally in Florida and all is working. IM is on my host server and we've verified the paths, both of which are what you suggested. At this point in time, my host is telling me that it's either a configuration issue or a problem with PhotoPost software with the upgrade.

Chuck, no less than 40 manpower hours have gone into this issue this weekend by myself and 2 other Photopost techs. We have followed your instructions exquisitely and nothing is working. We've been in constant contact with our host. ImageMagick is properly uploaded and the paths are correct yet when put in Photopost, the same error code listed above comes up. Since we upgraded on Friday, pictures have not been able to be posted to the gallery. This has killed my stats and participation that I've worked no less than 70 hours a week for the past 4 months to establish my message board and gallery. When I purchase software and it's installed by professionals and maintained, I expect it to function properly. All server error logs show the problem is with the Photopost software.

At this point in time, the PhotoPost software upgrade is corrupt. We've reinstalled several times. I think that it's only fair that PhotoPost fix this problem since I've only had this software for less than 3 months. We've even gone back and reset the servers to Friday before the upgrade and that still hasn't fixed the issue. A speedy resolution would be much appreciated.

Cindy

You can feel free to purchase an installation if you choose to have us install things correctly. I cant just access your server and do an install.

I will sstate the issues again because quite simply this path is way wrong in many ways so your host must not be too helpful if they are giving you such a bogus path to work with.

Lets break this down

/home/couttsc/public_html/gallery/ImageMagick-5.5.6-Q16/mogrift.exe

First off this says imagemagick is installed in your gallery path but look you have mistyped mogrify and also added some executable extention on the end which is only done on a windows server and your path suggests your on linux

http://www.cpcmag.com/gallery/ImageM...16/mogrify.exe

Look it definately does not exist. A 127 error means mogrify can not be found. Usually on a linux server I gave the two most logical places mogrify is installed.

Now have you moved servers as stated an upgrade is not going to cause issues. People try upgrading to resolve issues but it does not cause issues as the issues are caused by other factors. Your uploading issues I have responded to.

1. a white blank page means GD2 is failing to process large files and you can increase php memory or even in some cases it may not exist. That is a PHP limitation and using GD2.

2. 127 error means mogrify does not exist where you are telling the program it is at

So neither of these errors you reported are really an issue with Photopost. They are both centered around finding an image processor which must be in working order on your server. If your host moved your server then you may need to change all server paths to correct ones and reset permissions on the uploads and data folders but again I can only respond to the issues you have posted.
