| Cannot log in to admin
I'm hoping someone can help me. I have an SMF forum and have managed to get Photopost mostly up and running, except that I cant log in to admin.
The installation guide says
"To proceed, open the administrative control panel, adm-index.php, in your browser."
Can someone tell me exactly how to do this please? I have tried
mysite/photopost/adm-index.php and simply get the log in screen.
I cant see any kind of admin panel or similar, it looks like the members screen.
I know this is going to sound daft but I'm thinking that maybe I'm using the wrong username/password - in which case how do I get back in to find out what it should be??
or maybe the forum and gallery are not talking to each other?
As you can probably tell I am very new to all this so I kind of need the Idiots' Guide if you have one?
TIA

If you have properly installed with smf you should login with your smf admin login and be logged in as admin.
I would suspect you have not properly installed the application. What is a test url and test login?

yup I am using my SMF admin log-in and pass, and the gallery is logging me in but not as admin. it is also saying 1 unregistered user down the bottom, under statistics -- but if I click on the register button, I get a Page Not Found error on my browser (Firefox)
By manually typing in sitename/photopost/register.php I got the registration page to come up and filled it out, got the e-mail and te confirmation screen. But still seem to be unregistered.
I'm sorry I'm such a dunce, but I dont know what you mean by 'test url' and 'test log-in'

You might have installed this as a standalone definately does not sound like it has been installed correctly.
Like I stated you can post a url and a regular test url here for us to see where you are. The mere point your allowed to use the photopost register script tells me your not installed correctly as thats only used in an internal install.

The url to your install so we can check it out and a regular test user login from the forum.

It looks to me like you need to reinstall correctly.
I think you forgot to actually input the smf cookie name where asked on step 4
If you reinstall and input the cookie name where asked on that step as well as anything else asked you should be fine
SMFCookie435
Thats your cookie name.

dang I spoke too soon. On uploading I am getting the following:
PHP Warning: exec() [<a href='function.exec'>function.exec</a>]: Unable to fork ["/usr/bin/X11/mogrify" +profile "*" -size 100x100 -quality 70 -geometry 100x100 -unsharp 10 D:/CustomerData/webspaces/my webspace here/wwwroot/photopost/data/500/thumbs/Auntie-Katie-web.jpg] in D:\CustomerData\webspaces\my webspace here\wwwroot\photopost\image-inc.php on line 91
What have I done wrong?

Yep no problem. Unable to fork means permissions where not set on the directories. Anyway glad you got it all working.
