Warning: mysql_connect() error in step 4 of installation

It was necessary to start over from scratch with my installation (no fault of photopost) but I'm having a problem with the installation. I'm now using 6.22 where before I was using 6.02.

My config file has my path as:
$PP_PATH = "/kunden/homepages/26/d219618***/htdocs/wtp-new/forum/photopost";

The database gets built correctly by the install script but when I enter the information for Step 4 and click submit I get this error:

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) in /homepages/26/d219618***/htdocs/wtp-new/forum/photopost/install.php on line 1460
I cannot connect to the Users database.

As you can see, the path in the error statement starts with /homepages and it should start with /kunden/homepages.

When I first start the install script, it lets me put in the full path, starting with /kunden, but if I restart the script, it has gone back to starting with /homepages.

Can you point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

The user database information you entered on the initial config to connect to the forum etc has been entered incorrectly. If you start install from the beginning and enter the correct info you should be fine.

You're right, as usual.

I was not entering the details of the vB database for integrating logins.
It's now working.
Thanks Chuck.
