Only show image title on showgallery page?

My gallery is going to be a one man band, with only my photos shown. (Insert jokes about my ego here...)

I'd like to really streamline the showgallery page, and only have the image itself and the image title shown. Everything else would only show up when you view the large image, and I may be selective about what shows there too...

How would I go about modifying the gallery to change what info appears? I'd like to hide everything but the title.

Well why not use the functionality already in the program!

In Admin => Edit Categories => SELECT A CAT => Default thumbnail layout?*

Set this to thumbnail with titles

OK, now I'm setting up another gallery, and for this one I'd like the title and the member name. Is there a way to modify the template to do that?

Not really. You can select the gallery display as the category default and then under showphoto options in admin select to not show filesize dimensions etc all the things you dont want to show

Ah, but there's the catch! I do want to show them when you're viewing the photo full size... just not in the category view.

I really like the clean view of the category with only the photo titles, very nice look. However, I feel it's very important to still have the photographer's name with the image. Essentially it's the same look you have under the "recent photos" "new photos" etc, but without the category since you don't need that when you're browsing a category.

Then you would have to modify your showgallery template and remove what you do not want to show.

I was able to modify the template and add it in to the thumbnails only section. Once I found where it needed to go it only took a single line of code.

Yep either that or alter the gallery portion and remove what you did not want
