Looks to me like a permissions error are you sure the data directory is set to 777 permissions at every level beneath it?

If you elect to use GD2 as the image processor under global options in admin and you try to upload what do you get?

Okay your server does not have GD2 installed. Try this for Imagemagick

In image-inc.php try removing this

You need to reset your processor back to Imagemagick to try out if that tweak worked or not.

Your second error is because GD2 does not exist on your server so your using a processor that is not installed. Therefore switching back to Imagemagick should help.
