| Compatibility with VB3.8?
Hello,
Just wanted to make sure if the photopost pro build update for 6.2 and also the latest photopost classifieds are completely compatible with vbulletin 3.8. I do not want to upgrade my forum and then repent for not getting the gallery and classifieds not working. Thanks in advance.

There are no issues that we are aware of they should be fine.

Is anyone running vB 3.8 with PP 6.2?
Before I try to troubleshoot, I want to be sure I am not chasing my tail.

well what are the differences between these sites?
Does the one that is broke recently upgrades possibly not running all the upgrades?
Is there hacks involved on the site?
Basically you want to look for differences between the working one and broke one.

Basically you want to look for differences between the working one and broke one. | Both upgraded to 3.8. Plenty of mods and hacks.
I'll have to disable my mods first. Since it's working on one and not the other, at least I can rule out an incompatibility with PP6.2. Maybe a problem with one of my mods.
Could even be a server issue since both my boards are on different servers.

How do you turn off all the modifcations and plugins before installation vb 3.8? If I turn them off, will the integration between pp and vb work seamlessly? Do you recommend to remove all plugins and then upgrade or what? I mean for both plugins and products and all modifications. Basically, I think there is an easy way to turn off all plugins and upgrade to vb 3.8 and face no problems. Then one by one, I can uninstall all the vb 3.7 compatible plugins and then install the 3.8 ones right? Please help me out.

Your questions are more related to vBulletin than PhotoPost.
I don't turn off my mods and hacks when upgrading. I only close my board.
I can't see where turning off mods/hacks would effect PP's integration.

I can't see where turning off mods/hacks would effect PP's integration. | not PP's integration fully, maybe it might disrupt the whole forum and thus the gallery as well. Because some modifcations might affect files that photopost might be pulling out from the vbulletin forum. Then again, I might be wrong. I will disable all plugins as mentioned in vbulletin.com and then upgrade and see if it all works out fine.

There are no compatiblity issues with Pro to my knowledge but hacks and mods can always affect a site when upgrading if they are not compatible.

I just did a fresh install on a fresh VB 3.8 install, got the following too:
Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /var/www/vhosts/mydomainname.com/httpdocs/photopost/forums/vb3.php on line 175
(I took out my domain name right now for this post)
But I only get it when viewing an image, everything else works fine, nothing shows up. I'm running the latest PP and VB, plus Linux, dedicated, PHP Version 5.2.4, Apache/2.2.8 (Fedora) Mysql 5.0.45 w/GD for the images. Any ideas?
I did the repair all tables mentioned above, didn't change. I can upload and do everything, that message just shows up on the header when viewing an image.
Thanks, rg.

Since I have two forums with vB 3.8 and PP, I don't believe it to be a problem with PP since one of my galleries are fine.
I repaired all tables using phpMyadmin. Of course, YMMV. Quote:

I've repaired tables, reinstalled, etc., and it still does it. It's trying to put "photopost" httpdocs/photopost/forums/ before the /forums/ directory, not sure why, doesn't do it any were else. How do I get rid of that? Thanks, rg.

You would have to provide a true example url
Looks to me like you have an installation misconfiguration nothing to do with the actual compatibility with vb 3.8

Chuck,
I deleted all the tables, reinstalled everything, and now it will not let me login. I can login to the forums just fine. How do you totally uninstall this from the database and anything it affects? I want to totally start over, but I have to be able to login as admin after the install.

You really should not need to delete tables as reinstalling will correct any misalignments but if you choose to delete all the pp_ tables and start fresh.
