Chuck: pp-vb integration has an issue

First, thank you for spending the time to upgrade my site a few days ago. It was money well spent. Once all the other tables in the db were removed my site really started speeding up, no more 100% cpu on mysql 24/7 anymore.

Anyhow, I went in today to create a new category and after giving it a title and clicking submit I get the following error.

Quote:
Error adding new category to the database. Returned id was 0.
It won't let me add a category.

If you still have the login info from a few days ago, it has not changed.
Could you please take a look and see why I can't create new cats?

thank you and have a blessed weekend.

hmm also when i try to edit any category, even though they show up it says
Quote:
Unable to find category: 'catnumber'
something is kinda screwy here. There must be something set wrong somewhere.

I would suggest one thing. make sure your mysql was not upgraded and set to STRICT MODE.

Mysql 5 Compatibility

I have not messed with the mysql since the install upgrade. I have no idea what mode it is in or how to change it. If you could provide info, I will do my best, or if you still have my login info, you are welcome to go in, phpmyadmin info etc has not changed yet.

You should be fine now your database was actually one less version than was reported on the upgrade so running that one earlier upgrade fixed the issue you had there.

Thank you, problem solved.
Glad you figured it out, I never would have guessed that was the issue. Would have driven me nuts.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving
