License question for testing

Is it ok to have a separate install for testing. I have both of them on the same domain. I have been setting up PhotoPost Pro this weekend on the testing instance of our message board, and am about to make it live. i just wanted to make sure that it is OK to do so with out removing the testing instance?

Thanks,
Ian

You can have a test copy setup to do testing but it can not be a live accessible to the web and user copy.

So if I have testing.firstgenmc.com and www.firstgenmcc.com I need to have testing shut off unless I am doing testing?

Thanks,
Ian

It needs to not be web accessible to everyone. That may mean something as simply as an htaccess file to access it
