how do you fix this error?

Hey!

I have a few questions..

1st is..how do I uninstall photopost off my site?(i am closing that site and want to use my photopost on my other site)

2nd is...I'm getting this error on the new site i am trying to install to..how do i fix this?(not sure if it helps but the host is powweb) also i did create a new database on the site and imported the 21 tables from my previous site..
I created database before installation was complete...not even sure if that matters but I did find a post here where a person with the same error did a overwrite/re-install and it fixed..Tied that and still getting error..

Quote:
I cannot connect to the PhotoPost MySQL server. [host:$host][mysql_user:$mysql_user][mysql_password:$mysql_password]. Check your config-inc.php for the correct settings and rerun.
Any help appreciated!

thanks!!

The database information your using in the config file appears to be incorrect you would need to check and make sure the host username password and database name are all correct'

is it going by the database I made on the new site? If so those are right.. or is it going by my old site? Like it that info in there somewhere that can be fixed? I did change it all manually on the file and also updated it when I went though the steps..

Have you rechecked the host and username password? One of these is incorrect

yeah I checked over and over.. finally called host support and they said they could not connect to db either so they were going to look further into it and get back to me via email..
How do I uninstall the photopost I have on my other site so I won't run into error/issues when the other one is able to be installed on the other site? (I did read on here to just delete the db, is that right? If so how do I do that exactly.. I am in mySQL section but can't figure how to do delete it..)
Thanks!

thanks , but how?
Do I select all then DROP?
Will this make it go away? And then I will not run into issues on my other site? I don't see anywhere to DROP the whole db though, only all the tables.
(sorry if these questions are dumb, but I am not a web developer or anything.. )
thanks!
