Upload error after upgrade

I upgraded to the latest Photopost Pro version and when I try to upload I get:

Warning: imagegif() [function.imagegif]: Unable to open '[path]/gallery/data/508/thumbs/blue-screen-of-death.gif' for writing in [path]/gallery/image-inc.php on line 158

Is your data directory set to 777 at every level?

You actually uploading a picture called blue screen of death?

Also when posting errors please leave them intact unedited so I can actually see the paths.
