The category you chose for this photo can't contain photos

Hello, I just upgraded from 5.6 to 6

I have 3 top-level categories. On the upload page-

Choose a category to upload your images to

If I choose one of the 3 categories (not Member Galleries) I get this javascript alert-

"The category you chose for this photo can't contain photos."

The uploads work if Member Galleries is selected in the category drop-down.

Any ideas?

You can not upload to top level categories that are marked to not contain images which is why that alert pops up. You must select a category that can contain images.
