Data Folder Problem

Hey folks. I've been away for awhile and just renewed my license. I recently changed hosting service and now get the error code shown in the photo. The data folder does indeed have some photos in it but there are many folders with no photos in it at all. I seem to remember that I did an upgrade quite awhile ago and it changed the nature of the data folder? I just can't remember exactly what it changed.

In my defense I was in Baghdad for the last 15 months and my photopost installation was on the back burner.

Jake

Make sure in both global options and storage options your server paths are correct to the data directory.

This will assist you

Hey Chuck, Thanks. Indeed my storage options were incorrect. I followed the link you gave me and fixed that. However, it did not help the situation. As far as I can tell the path and other global options are correct. It's almost like the link between where the database thinks the photos are and where they really are is not matching up. I did notice that my permissions are 755. Do they need to be changed to 777? Could my data folder structure be incorrect or from a different version? How could I tell?

Thanks.

As you can see from the image below, the images are in the 500 folder and the folders within the 500 are empty. Is this how it is supposed to be? It's almost like an upgrade script did not run correctly or something.

You have no photos. It looks to me like you upgraded or moved servers and tried to rebuild the photos which deleted the photos entries since they could not be found.

You would need to restore a backup of the photos table and then deal with the issue of correcting the paths or running the upgrades whichever the issue was. But for now try restoring the photos table from one of your mysql backups on the site.
