Question Installation Help after purchase

Greetings!

I purchased PhotoPost Pre on Monday - the site tech who had installed my Zencart and done various mods and enhancements said he could do the install, so since I was to be paying him a monthly retainer, I decided to go with him. Well, that turned out to be a disaster and now, my gallery is down completely.

I started with zen cart, a phpbb forum and coppermine. He had integrated them and although coppermine was a beast for our purposes, things were seemingly ok.

After his boondoggle of an install with PhotoPost, and his email stating "it up" - I went in to find no banner and thereby no site navigation, the gallery was a mess with empty albums all over the place, and sadly all 6 of our current customer challenge albums were gone completely.

I went out in the industry to find help - the new tech first cleaned up the gallery and retrieved the banner. I cleaned up the categories and still could not figure out why all the user albums were under "personal index" instead of the main gallery. Additionally, the photo count was 129, but less than 20 of those photos were actually accessible in the albums visible.

Next morning emails are coming in from customers stating they can't upload. File size error messages or Download number exceeded. We have no limits.

So, she thought it best to wipe off his install and start fresh. Unfortunately the gallery and the forum still do not seem to integrate - where originally you would login to the forum and then be auto logged into the gallery, you were now knocked off of the forum and forced to log in to the gallery.

The last major blow up occurred yesterday when a fellow store owner tried to walk me through her setup config - she has the same forum and gallery. She noticed that in the db config the db and username were the same. She told me to change that. I did. Bam. Gallery access is now completely gone.

I am coming here to find out if anyone can help put it back and if I can get install help from Photopost or another experienced user.

My site is Heritage Scrap. You can still access the store and forum, just not the gallery. But you will be able to see the error message left when attempting to open it.

My yahoo IM is HeritageScrap. Let me know if you can help.

Oh. The new tech has suggested that I just wipe the forum, buy Vbulletin and then do a clean install. My other question is that do I really need to buy another forum? Could the forum just be wiped and the free phpbb re-installed?

Thank you in advance for any and all sage advice, guidance and assistance.

Regards,
Kate

Photopost integrates with the phpbb login should the install be performed correct. There is an import script to import coppermine and our albums are displayed differently that coppermine so you might need to be shown how they display as personal albums will display under a users specific members gallery as long as the import is done correctly and those instructions followed you should be fine. You can purchase an install here for us to install photopost correctly with phpbb login or see if someone wants to do it for you elsewhere.

I would love to purchase it here and have you do it, rather than spending another $100 on a new forum. Is it the same install option that's available at the time of software purchase? How long will it take to have the install performed?

Thank you very much for getting back to me so soon.

Regards,
Kate

Yes the install would be the same as the one in the online store and usually takes 1-2 days
