Need to upgrade Photopost Pro on one of my sites - Directions?

I have searched high and low and I just want to make sure I don't cause myself problems by guessing how I am supposed to upgrade.

I am behind on my upgrades and my current installed version is 5.31 and I paid to renew my member access to go to 6.11 a few hours ago.

While I am waiting I was trying to verify the correct process so I don't kill my active system...

Please confirm the process (or share a link):

1. Do I upload ALL files EXCEPT the config files?
2. Do I execute the install.php script?

My site I need to upgrade is integrated with vBulletin if that impacts anything. Can I get a brief verification that this is correct as I really can't risk my members photos!

2. Run the upgrade.php script and select the 5.3 to 6.1 upgrades
