after install no admin cp/lots of others

Chuck!

we need your help dude. we did a fresh resintall of PP on the server and its there, it recognizes that theres 1004 members as of now, however, uploading doesnt work, logging in on the 'Home" page doesnt work and im sure theres got to be more. at this point i can make categories but not upload photos. any help at all would be GREATLY appreciated, if you need a test admin account to snoop around, let me know, we can make one for you. and yes i have browsed every thread in this forum, searched, and everything, nothing is the same as what we are dealing with. ive tried all the options youve given other users with no success. HELP PLEASE!!!

what do you need from me for you to help me?

Chuck S August 25th, 2008 07:46 PM

what do you mean uploads dont work? please post a url and test login and explain what is happening

r0xt4r August 25th, 2008 07:51 PM

ok well basically you get to the point where you think youre going to upload stuff, and then it takes you to upload.php which is a blank page.

URL

after hitting submit, it takes you to a blank white page.

if you wanna try chucks as a login i can ppm you the password.

r0xt4r August 25th, 2008 07:54 PM

ok username chucks made, password emailed to sales@photopost.com

r0xt4r August 25th, 2008 07:57 PM

i also have another guy helping me on this, hes one of our admins, he says we have wiped the DB and reinstalled a few times

The full install part that modifies the templates in vbulletin I'm hesitant to do... that's what messed everything up on the forum that one time.

Chuck S August 25th, 2008 08:28 PM

My Photo Gallery - Main Index

this is what I see at your site looks like you did wipe things out.

as far as any errors etc you need to post here so we can assist

You can post a test login account here non admin

r0xt4r August 25th, 2008 09:29 PM

well that's the thing, we don't get any errors. all we get is blank pages. and when you try to log in it says user name is not registered or recognized. yet the user base shows 1004+ members. its like the user base isnt connecting to the vb user name db.

user name is chucks
password is password

http://www.azsportbikes.org/forum/re...?action=signup

Obviously the application has not been installed entirely correct here so my response here is to reinstall and pay attention to all the details

did you specify the correct vb license number on install this would fail the login ;)

Your forum url is incorrect

r0xt4r August 26th, 2008 04:30 PM

yea we specified the correct license number and have tried to reinstall it a few times.

the forum url is AZ Sportbikes.org

we have even emptied the pp_ database when starting over.
one thing i did notice is that on My Photo Gallery - Main Index it does show 1000+ users but when you try to login thats when it doesnt seem to connect to the vb database to grab the user info.

you get this when trying to login:
Invalid login. Please check your username and password, or register.

Chuck S August 26th, 2008 05:13 PM

AZ Sportbikes.org Forum

Thats your forum url

Something is definately not correct with the information your entering there.

I was able to get it up with the vb3 look but obviously I cant see that all your info is right I just fixed the url as we already told you about that

r0xt4r August 26th, 2008 05:15 PM

oh /forums/ yeah we fixed that in the config file.

r0xt4r August 26th, 2008 05:17 PM

if you try to go here:
My Photo Gallery - Login
and login, you get the same above mentioned error:

Invalid login. Please check your username and password, or register.

Chuck S August 26th, 2008 05:19 PM

Correct is it connecting to the current vb database or an old vb database in our config?

I would seriously suspect something wrong on the config settings or database table prefix on step 4. These are the things I would check.

r0xt4r August 26th, 2008 05:20 PM

i did, we actually only have obe vb database so its the only one its connecting to. im actually quadruple checking the configs since you are online, and all the settings seem to be the same across the board. what config files (list?) should i check on your recommendation?

Chuck S August 26th, 2008 05:22 PM

Feel free to email us through contact link in header with url admin login and ftp info and we can take a look

r0xt4r August 26th, 2008 05:25 PM

r0xt4r August 26th, 2008 05:36 PM

also one other thing to note is that when you go to the gallery main page and click on register, you get this response:

Not Found
The requested URL /forum/register.php was not found on this server.

even tho we have to set to /forums/

Chuck S August 26th, 2008 05:38 PM

Check your vb admin options in vb ;)

r0xt4r August 26th, 2008 05:41 PM

Chuck S August 26th, 2008 05:45 PM
