| Internal Server Error
Why do I get this error when users try to upload photos to the gallery?
I have searched the forum and tried this: http://www.photopost.com/forum/1219346-post2.html
and this: http://www.photopost.com/forum/1219356-post5.html
but it didn't make any difference. Anything else I can do?? Internal Server Error

Please contact the server administrator, ******* and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

Have you tried that fix you first posted and also ftp to the server and clear the uploads directory of all numeric directories.
Your server error logs should have a more detailed account of the error.

Yes, I have and after I did it has been a little bit better. Now it's like 50/50, sometimes it works and sometimes I get the error. If I upload just one image, it shows up in the gallery even if I get the error. If I try to upload two or three, the first image uploads and the other does not.
I also get this error when I try to delete photos from the gallery. If I use the edit button and then choose delete, it sometimes work and some times don't. If I use the move/delete button I get the error every time.
Where do I find the server error log?
If I paid you to reinstall the gallery, would you be able to solve these things for me? I feel like giving up right now, and I'm afraid to mess up even more if I continue on my own.

Are you still working on a solution? I understand if you are busy, but it would be nice if you could write a me little note so I know what to expect. And as I said earlier I would be more than happy to pay you for fixing it, if there is a possibilty to solve this problem.

Now the last response I send stated said I could not login with the test user specified to try uploading as a regular user and I never recieved a response from you so this is where the discussion on this matter ended as I am awaiting a response.

Ok, so thats why... I sent you two e-mails after that. One with login info, and one asking if you got it. I have sent it one more time right now. Could you please confirm that you got it this time?
I never had a problem uploading as admin, it is the other users that has this problem. If I give admin access to a usergroup they can upload just fine, but I can't give admin access to everyone....

Oh...didn't know I was doing that, I just hit the "reply" button when I answered :-) I have asked my host about the server log, and they said it was almost impossible to find the exact lines that belonged to my site and that this error probably had to do with the photopost permissions. I'll call them one more time and push harder!

Well everything on our end looks fine the files are uploaded paths are all correct permissions appear to be 777 its just when they go to process the files the script stops and gives the generic internal server error thing which means we need the exact error from the server logs to understand why this happens on that server. There is no rhyme or reason as to why you files should process and theirs would not

Even with a file size limit at 150kb, I can upload three images at 145kb each at the same time as admin. I obviously have a gallery that don't care what you upload, just who you are.... Hopefully I get an answer from my host soon.

I tried deleting one of the photos you uploaded. I first got the internal server error, then I got this message. Does this tell you anything? We're sorry, but the system experienced an unrecoverable error. Please try again later.
Script:
Query: SELECT p.id,p.cat,c.catname FROM fgphotos p LEFT JOIN fgcategories c ON c.id=p.cat WHERE p.storeid=84 OR p.id=
Result: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 3
Database handle: Resource id #21 |

I used the edit button beneath the photo in the gallery, then chose delete image in the next window.

In editphoto.php you can find this line Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
try changing it to Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

Yep, that worked. I do get the internal server error when I do this to, but the other "error" is gone, and so is the photo.
