Transfered Servers Alright, I screwed up lol. I transferred servers, finally figured out how to change the script so people could upload new images to the new server but I accidentally uninstalled photopost and now all the images are gone, I did back them up and already uploaded them but they are showing up in the "broken images, or orphan images" how do I get them back? Please and thank you  |
what do you mean they are showing up broken orphaned. if you know how to restore the photos which you have done I am lost Lets see what your talking about try posting a url and some examples so we can follow what your talking about. |
I uploaded all the photos that I backed up, but they show up in the usercp under vbgallery, maintenance, scan database, all the images I transferred over through FTP show up as "Scan your database for problems such as orphaned or broken images." Gixxer Nation and here is an example of one of the images i uploaded (transferred) via FTP but doesn't show up in the gallery. http://www.gixxernation.com/forums/g...4/3/pic006.jpg Thanks |
Please post a test user login so I can view your gallery. You transfered files through ftp and did you restore the database as well? |
user Photopost pass photopost Refresh my memory on which files would transfer over the categories and images? Which database I mean. Thanks again. |

Gixxer Nation - Owned by Gixxer Riders for Gixxer Riders! You would need to restore all your ppgal_ tables as well as restore the actual disk directory to restore a gallery Now your gallery is closed and I am unable to see anything |
turned it back on sorry about that. If you could give me some instructions on how to restore the gallery I'd appreciate it. |
Okay well from what I see your ppgal_images table comments table etc is all empty You would need to restore your database using a tool like phpmyadmin etc to restore your table data from a backup Do you have a database backup? if not you need to start over fresh. |
I saved everything from my old server, where would the database backup be? Would it be the same database for vbulletin or what? Please go into details to the steps I must take, thanks |
I have a feeling you're not going to like this answer, but the database backup will be wherever you saved it. |
Exactly you need to restore it from a backup you did and saved somewhere. I dont think anyone here could tell you where you saved it. If you did a database backup you would know and you had to have one to restore it to the new server. |
