| When did "Powered by Photopost" appear?
I have the "brand free" option and recently loaded 6.1 over 6.02. Now "Powered by Photopost" appears in my IE header. I'm sure that wasn't there before, or am I cracking?

You mean your footer? If you have brand free you would need to reapply any brand free when you upgrade your files.

No, I applied the necessary correction to the footer. I'm referring to the top line of the screen in IE and Firefox where it says "mysite - Main Index - Powered by Photopost - Windows Internet Explorer" for example. I'm sure it didn't say that before, but my apologies if it did.

No it has not said that in many versions now that I am aware of but anyway in pp-inc.php in the printheader function you would search for Powered by PhotoPost and remove it.

I need to remove mine too, and I've paid for brand free...is it still the mysterious and time-consuming (for me and you) process of having to email to find out how to remove the thing I've already paid for?

Just open up pp-inc.php and remove Powered by Photopost by doing a search. The copyright removal instructions are the same as always, Have you saved a copy because if not yes you need to email sales as we do not post that online for all to see.

no, I haven't saved the info and what really bugs me is that Photopost has never taken on board the customer's many requests that this info be added to a private area on our account immediately after purchase, rather than waiting days for a return email.
every other purchase I make through a site with a vb forum manages to do it by addingsomething to my permissions, why does PP insist on creating more work for us and them every time someone needs this info?

Stuart you might want to ask customer service that. Us on the support forum have no part in determining there policies.
Now I dont know why it would take them days to respond to you as all support tickets I know of are responded to within a 24 hour time period which is better than I can say about vbulletin. I have been a customer of vbulletin's for 7 years and have waited 4 days for a reply from them so experiences vary for sure.

Hello Chuck,
I too faced the similar problem but luckily I had kept the license removal instructions handy and fixed it in the very first attempt.
I was wondering if you could do some coding such that the copyright will not appear sites who have purchased license free branding.
I am not sure if this is the correct solution, but some thing else can also be worked out here. Michael can best decide this.
This will permanently remove the headache of editing the file every time there is a new update.

Well I beleive even the biggest forum out their vbulletin you still need to hand edit the copyright text out of their footer template to remove it so its not as easy as it sounds or I beleive someone would have had a better solution. I will pass along your thoughts though to customer service.

Sorry, I did not wanted to make it complex, but was only wondering what things can be worked on to eliminate the editing.
My problem is that I manage lot of websites and I just get tired at the end of the day, editing various templates especially when new updates are released.
However the current method is not to complicated and the best part is that I have kept the instructions in the folder where I download your script.
But now after 2-3 updates since I purchased your script, I now know what to do. Just open the pp-inc.php file, do a search for "Powered by" keyword, remove the desired text and then search for "Violation" keyword and comment the line starting with print. Simple.
So as long as we remember what to edit or have the instructions handy, everything goes fine.
