Login problem after 6.1 upgrade phpbb3 integration

Hi, I upgrade from 6.0.2 to 6.1 and now I cant be logged in in both the gallery and phpbb3.

Both keep me loged out after I log in in the other one.

Any ideas ?

I'm afraid I dont have any experience with phpbb3 or anything to test with; Chuck handled that integration, so we will have to wait for him to come back to check into it or offer some help. I believe he will be back after the holiday this weekend.

Thanks Michael, it seems its taking longer, any ideas how to fix this ?

As I cant have al the members being logged out all the time.

Did you check your cookie settings to be sure PP was set to use the same phpBB3 cookie prefix?

Hi Michael, actually I did not touch any of the configuration, everything was working ok until I update it.

And yes, cookie settings are ok.

Any other idea ?

Feel free to email support at photopost dot com with ftp info and gallery url and admin logins and I will look. There should be no issues I am aware of with phpbb3.

Did you properly reinstall with phpbb3 integration if this was a upgrade from phpbb2?

Hi Chuck, already mailed the info.

And yes, I had 6.0.2 with phpbb3 working perfectly, then upgrade the gallery and all stopped working. No one can be logged in in both things, as soon as you login into the forum you are loged out from the gallery and viceversa.

I dunno if this was solved yet, but same thing happened to me on a fresh install and integration of both pp 6.11 and phpbb3.0.2. On my side, the problem resided simply on the cookie setting, as soon that was done, everything went ok. Maybe you have to recheck twice your cookie settings on both admin areas, and CLEAR your cookie cache on your browser/s.

You definately need to set cookie information since you need to explicitly set a cookie name in phpbb3

Seems after upgrading to Phpbb3 I too an experience this problem with Photopost 6.11.

I checked the cookie settings on the phpbb3 forums. It has listed in the cookie tab in admin:

phpbb3_a6yhd

I tried setting the cookie in photopost to: phpbb3_a6yhd, phpbb3_, phpbb3

Nothing works. Was fine before the upgrade.

Anybody got any ideas what I should be setting these too?

You dont upgrade to phpbb3. If you where running phpbb2 you need to reinstall Photopost to integrate with phpbb3. That might be your issue

What is the cookie I am suppose to use in photopost???

phpbb3, phpbb3_, or phpbb3_fhjdh . I have tried all 3 of none of them works?

On install it asks the cookie name and you enter

phpbb3_fhjdh

In your settings table setting 171 should be /

settings 172-172 should be blank

setting 165 should be phpbb3_fhjdh

Now of course I am assuming here you correctly reinstalled entered the phpbb3 database info table prefix cookie name etc as if all that happens it would work.
