Quality of resized images

Hi forum, sorry for my bad english...

Some users of my gallery (http://www.tevacphoto.com/community/) say that the quality of the resized images is much low, comparison with the original images uploaded

In PP not there are many setting for this, and "Quality setting for resizing/thumbnails" is setting to 100

How I can make to improve the quality of the resized images?

The system is Mac OS X Server 10.4.11, GD Library 2.0, PHP 4.4.8

Tnx in advance

rob

This is the nature of GD - image quality is not as good as the original, and this is particularly true when extremely large images are resized to be thumbnails. You could try switching to ImageMagick, but again, if you're resizing huge images, the quality will still be an issue.

Hi forum..

I have tried to install ImageMagick on Mac OS X Server 10.4.11, I have followed the instructions well, and the ImageMagick tools apparently work.

bur if I apply one command to a photo, from terminal, I have this error:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
it would seem a path problem, the lib of IM are in other path (/IM/ImageMagick-6.4.0/lib/), but I do not know like resolving.

Suggestions?

tnx in advance

There is a quality setting in the Admin Options, generally 70 or 80 percent should be fine.
