Photopost 61 + VB 3.70 Integration, different servers?

Hi, I am installing Photopost Pro 61 (not the vbgallery version) on its own dedicated server, but my VB 3.7 forum is on another dedicated server.

Is the above supposed to work? (There was a config for path to forum, which I cannot input since it is on a different server)

I did manage get it running, but I get an empty looking page when viewing an user's profile.

Any advice? Thanks!

well you can integrate the vb user login if your running on different servers however you would not be able to use the vb enhanced integration with the header footers etc of the forum. Your photopost profile to view content on the right pane you must click on of the links on the left of the photopost profile.

Ah I enabled php error messages and here is the error message (when viewing a member profile)

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /path/to/photopost61/templates/profile.tmpl on line 665

I'm using the latest photopost pro (just downloaded yesterday).
Is there anything I can try?

thanks

edit: there is a missing closing brace at line 92 of templates/profile.tmpl
you might want to check your source files

Also, I cant seem to find any option to enable/upload avatars.
Does PhotoPost Pro try to use the avatars from VB forum directly?
Is this a problem since my VB installation is on another server?

Thanks!

You cant show the vb avatars because your photopost and vb are on different servers. This all goes into what I said about not being able to use enhanced vb features.

Running vb and photopost on different servers is not a common thing since you give up alot of functionality.

I see. In that case a setting up a netfs should solve the problem.
In fact, for performance reasons maybe a regular rsync of the relevant folders + mysql slave of the database would be best.

Thanks!

Yes if you can do that and make the vb path seen by Photopost then you should be good although your gonna have login issues unless you make sure any links you have in your forum point to the photopost domain name so we load the proper domain name and you need to add that domain name to your vb whitelist in vb options.
